Day of Caring!

We welcome our Day of Caring Volunteers to Lancaster Community Gardens @ Wheatland Middle School--it's going to be a fun day!

The weather looks good--no rain until the afternoon.

Please bring the following if you can--it will really help:

  • garden rakes
  • pitchforks
  • shovels
  • gloves
  • big smiles
We'll clear the western half of the gardens and plant a fall crop of spinach, lettuce, turnips, and a few other things depending on what's available as of the end of the day Friday.

Also, Nadine Garner is developing a teaching garden, and could use assistance with that. She'll provide details at 9.

The morning will be led by Charlie Crystle and John Ambler; John is a horticulturalist and one of our most active volunteers.

We'll see you at 9 am across from Wheatland Middle School at 919 Hamilton Park Drive. We're looking forward to it!
