King Elementary: Build Raised Beds

Can you spare an hour this Saturday? We have a really fun and productive project at one of Lancaster's great city schools and could use your passion and effort.

Over the past several weekends, volunteers from Lancaster Community Gardens, Keystone Art & Cultural Center, and the neighborhood surrounding King have worked together to build two of three raised bed vegetable gardens at King Elementary School.

This project is led by Keystone, with LCG providing a support role. Veggie starters were provided by LCG; we obtained hundreds of starters from Ken's Gardens of Smoketown, PA; Ken's was incredibly generous and donated these really great plants.

This Saturday, the crew will finish the installation. Click here to learn more and sign up to help transform this lot to something truly amazing.
