Got Water?

The project at Wheatland is going very well--the fence is up, gardens growing, people getting to know each other, and some extraordinary volunteers doing great work on their own initiative.

But every day, gardeners haul water. Recently, one of our gardeners connected 500 feet of garden hose to provide a more constant source, but that water is chlorinated, and the hoses are leaky so water is wasted.

We're going to drill a well as soon as we can pay for it. You can help by buying tickets to the fundraising event, which should be a great time.

On August 9th at 7:30 pm, 5 performers will give us a taste of their original music, including Leo DiSanto from Vinegar Creek Constituency, The Scarlet Furies, Gil Smart, Shawn Gallagher from the Modern Day Pharaohs, and Charlie Crystle (formerly of Parrish Blue).

Soon we'll have a sustainable source of water for this unique project that has the potential to grow to 22 acres!
